Solidworks atom project
Introduction-
To expand our knowledge on the construction of the atom we were tasked with creating a CAD drawing of one on the CAD software SolidWorks. I chose to create a 3D Schrodinger model of the element aluminum. To start this project we were asked to fill out an element year book or research of the construction of our atom which is attached below. Then I made my model which is pictured below.
Skills-
Justification-
I believe I have applied all the skills listed above and have gained knowledge that I will apply in future chemistry classes. To complete this project I used the knowledge of the construction of the atom and the skills I have to work in SolidWorks.

Skills-
- Find an electrons charge, location, mass
- Find a protons charge, location, mass
- Find a neutrons charge, location, mass
- Explain what is Atomic Number
- Be able to draw a Bohr model of an atom
- Distinguish among principal energy level, energy sublevel, and atomic orbital
- Apply the Aufbau principle, the Pauli exclusion principle, and Hund's rule to write the electron configurations of the elements
